Treating and Managing Gum Recession

Check your teeth for any symptoms and signs of receding gums. Your dentist will determine the most suitable treatment following the cause of your receding gums.

Key takeaways:

•Your dentist will advise you on the proper way to brush and floss your teeth.

•If gum disease is the cause of gum recession, your dentist may perform root scaling. This procedure removes bacteria and infection in the gum tissue.

•Maintaining good oral hygiene can help you avoid receding gums.

Regardless of what’s causing your receding gums, your dentist can help. Book a checkup appointment.
