What Can Be Done About Receding Gums?

If your gums bleed often, are swollen, or your teeth appear longer, you may have receding gums. This condition needs to be treated by a dentist as soon as possible.

Key takeaways:

  • In its beginning stage, gum recession can be reversed with a deep cleaning and follow-up care.
  • A gum graft may be recommended if gum recession is severe.
  • Proper oral care is more important than ever if you are affected by this condition.

Gum recession can be treated and even reversed as long as the problem is detected early.
